Quebec City's high temperature range and standard precipitation classify it as a humid continental climate. With, hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters, the weather and climate in Quebec City differs greatly from season to season.
Winter
Winter is Quebec City's longest season. It is virtually rainless, making the -10°C or below temperatures more tolerable than humid, wet cold in Europe. Spring
Spring is Quebec City's shortest season, and is more of a brisk transition period between the long winter and the summer. The warm weather begins in April, reaching up to 10°C. By May, temperatures are generally 16°C or higher, however, late snow in April or May is not uncommon.
Summer
In Quebec City, summer temperatures are often well above 25°C, especially in July and August, becoming fairly cool at night. There is plenty of rain during the summer months, which go from June to the end of September, and sometimes into October.

Autumn
In the fall, many tourists are attracted to the picturesque changes in foliage that take place in September. In October, temperatures drop to 10°C. Sometimes, by the end of October, there is snow on the ground. By November, it is noticeably colder, and the temperatures are impacted further by the strong winds.
